Idea Proposed/Formulated by: Dr L Boominathan Ph.D.
Citation: Boominathan, Insights into the treatment of Stress-induced T2D: α-Tocopherol (A Vitamin-E derivative) increases the expression of a positive regulator of insulin transcription, NeuroD1 via down regulation of its target gene, 05/September/2014, 5.26 am, Genome-2-Bio-Medicine Discovery center (GBMD), http://genomediscovery.org

Significance: This study suggests, for the first time, that α-Tocopherol , by decreasing the expression of its target gene, it may decrease the expression of a number of stress responsive proteins. Thereby, it may increase the expression of an activator of insulin transcription, NeuroD1. Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “α-Tocopherol or its analogues“ may be used to treat DM.
