Significance: This study suggests that MCP-1, by increasing the expression of its target gene, it may decrease the expression of tumor suppressor Sprouty-2. Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “MCP-1 inhibitors“ may be used to inhibit tumorigenesis and metastasis.
