Significance: This study provides therapeutic insights into increasing the life expectancy of Individuals. Gaseous molecule Nitric oxide, by down regulating the expression of its target gene, it may increase the lifespan of  males.  It has recently been shown that sunlight boosts the production of Nitric oxide, suggesting that exposing one to the optimal level of sunlight may increase longevityTogether, this study suggests, for the first time, that (1) pharmacological formulations encompassing Nitric oxide  activators may increase the life expectancy of individuals; and (2)  Nitric oxide  activators may function as longevity promoters.
