Significance: This study suggests that tumor suppressor miRNA-503, by decreasing the expression of its target gene, it may increase the expression of tumor suppressor p53 homologue, p63Given that p53 is the most mutated tumor suppressor gene in human cancer, pharmacological formulations encompassing “MiRNA-503 or its activators may be used to inhibit tumorigenesis and metastasis.
