Significance: CPEB1, by down regulating the expression of its target gene, it may increases the expression of tumor suppressor p53. Thereby, it may promote the differentiation of glioma stem cells.  Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “CPRB1 activators” may inhibit  glioma development by turning on the expression of tumor suppressor p53 and its down stream target genes.
