Citation: Boominathan, Molecular therapy for Cancer: Tumor suppressor miRNA miR-29c suppresses the expression of cell cycle protein CyclinD1 via down regulation of its target gene, 28/January/2015, 22.40, Genome-2-Bio-Medicine Discovery center (GBMD), http://genomediscovery.org
Significance: This study suggests, for the first time, that miR-29c, by suppressing the expression of its target gene, it may inhibit cancer cell proliferation. Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing ” miR-29c or its activators” may be used to inhibit the progression of tumors.
