Significance:  This study suggests, for the first time, that Genistein by inducing the expression of its target gene, suppress influenza A virus (IAV) infection.  Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “Genistein or its analogues” may be used to treat influenza A virus (IAV) infection.
