Significance: This study suggests, for the first time, that C/EBPβ, by increasing the expression of its target gene, it may enhance keratinocyte proliferation. Thereby, it may promote would healing. Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “C/EBPβ activators  may be used to promote would healing.
