Citation: Boominathan, Natural product-based therapy for p53-mutated human cancers: Ursolic acid increases the expression of tumor suppressor p53 homologue TAp63 via down regulation of its target gene, 4/March/2015, 8.31 am, Genome-2-Bio-Medicine Discovery center (GBMD), http://genomediscovery.org
Significance: This study suggests, for the first time, that Ursolic acid, by decreasing the expression of its target gene, it may increase the expression of TAp63. Thereby, it may inhibit cancer progression. Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “Ursolic acid or its analogues” can be used to inhibit the progression of human tumors.
