Significance:  This study suggests, for the first time, MiRNA-146a, by suppressing the expression of its target gene, it may decrease the expression of immortality gene telomerase. Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “MiRNA-146a activators”  can be used to inhibit the progression of human tumors.
