CitationBoominathan, Natural product-based anticancer therapy: Ursolic acid, enriched in apples, increases  the expression of  15-hydroxyprostaglandin dehydrogenase (15-PGDH/HPGD) via down regulation of its target gene, 22/March/2015, 22.58, Genome-2-Bio-Medicine Discovery center (GBMD), http://genomediscovery.org

Significance: This study suggests, for the first time, that Ursolic acid, by decreasing the expression of its target gene, it may increase the expression of 15-hydroxyprostaglandin dehydrogenase (15-PGDH/HPGD). Thereby, it may inhibit cancer progression. Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “Ursolic acid or its analogues”  can be used to inhibit the progression of human tumors

Undisclosed information: How Ursolic acid increases the expression of 15-hydroxyprostaglandin dehydrogenase (15-PGDH/HPGD)
