The study presented here suggests that MiRNA-9600, by decreasing the expression of its target genes, it may increase the expression of Matrix metalloproteinases inhibitor TIMP3. Thereby, it may inhibit prevent the degradation of extracellular matrix, migration, invasion and metastasis of cancer cells. Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “MiRNA-9600 activators” may be used to inhibit the progression of invasive tumors.
