The study presented here suggests that MiRNA-9600, by increasing the expression of its target genes, it may decrease the expression of protein that is enriched in cancer stem cells, such as Nanog.
Thereby, it may inhibit proliferation, and promote apoptosis of cancer cells. Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “MiRNA-9600 activators” may be used to inhibit cancer progression.
