This study suggests that  Taurine, by increasing the expression of of its target genes, it may: (1) increase the expression of NAMPT; (2) increase Sirtuins expression; (3) enhance neural stem cells; (4) promote neural functional recovery; (5) activate neuronal survival pathway; (6) promote post-ischemic regeneration after stroke; and (7) attenuate neurological deficits (Fig.1).
