Significance: Curcumin, by increasing the expression of its target miRNA, it may decrease the negative regulator p53, MDM2. Thereby, it may increase the expression of tumor suppressor p53. Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “Curcumin or its analogues” may be used to treat cancer.
