Citation: Boominathan, Molecular therapy for Metastatic tumors: Deubiquitylating enzyme DUBA decreases the levels of PD-1, a suppressor of activation of T-cells, via down regulation of its target gene, 20/February/2015, 13.16, Genome-2-Bio-Medicine Discovery center (GBMD), http://genomediscovery.org
Significance: This study suggests that DUBA, by decreasing the levels of its target gene, it may suppress the expression of PD-1. Thereby, it may activate the immune system and inhibit metastasis. Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “DUBA activators“ may be used to inhibit tumorigenesis.
