Citation: Boominathan, Mechanistic insight into tumorsuppession: Deubiquitylating enzyme DUBA inhibits the expression of oncogenic protein MDM2, a negative regulator of p53, and inhibits tumorigenesis via down regulation of its target gene, 21/February/2015, 22.39, Genome-2-Bio-Medicine Discovery center (GBMD), http://genomediscovery.org
Significance: This study suggests that DUBA, by decreasing the expression of its target gene, it may suppress the expression of MDM2. Thereby, it may promote the stability of tumor suppressor p53 and inhibit tumorigenesis. Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “DUBA activators“ may be used to inhibit the proliferation of cancer cells.
