Citation: Boominathan, L., Antimetastasis therapy: PAPD5 inhibits invasion and metastasis by altering protein trafficking via up regulation of tumor suppressor PTPN14 (Pez), 1/April/2015, 21.27, Genome-2-Bio-Medicine Discovery center (GBMD), http://genomediscovery.org
Significance: The study presented here suggests that PAPD5, by decreasing the expression of its target genes, it may increase the expression of tumor suppressor PTPN14 (Pez). Thereby, it may inhibit the migration and invasion of metastatic cancer cells. Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “PAPD5 activators” may be used to inhibit the progression of invasive tumors.
