Significance: This study suggests, for the first time, that Yellow capsicum extract, by increasing the expression of its target gene, it may decrease food intake and body weight. Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “Yellow capsicum extract or small molecule compounds isolated from it“ may be used to decrease body weight.
