On the foundation of this interesting finding, Dr L Boominathan PhD, Director-cum-chief Scientist of GBMD, reports that: An insight into activating tumor suppressor MiRNA network in human cancer cells: Tumor suppressor p53 promotes widespread miRNA biogenesis via down regulation of its target gene. This data may suggest that p53 could function as a potent anti-cancer agent in human cancers by activating the network of tumor suppressor miRNAs.
