Significance: This study suggests that Angiopoietin-like protein 1, by decreasing the expression of its target gene, it may increase the expression of let-7.  Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing Angiopoietin-like protein 1 activators may be used to inhibit tumorigenesis and metastasis.
