Idea Proposed/Formulated byDr L Boominathan Ph.D.

CitationBoominathan, L., Anti-metastasis therapy: GATA binding protein-6 inhibits invasive motility via down regulation of ICAT (Inhibitor of β-catenin and TCF), 22/October/2014, 20.09, Genome-2-Bio-Medicine Discovery center (GBMD), http://genomediscovery.org

Significance: This study suggests that GATA binding protein-6, by increasing the expression of its target gene, it may decrease the expression of EMT protein ICAT.  Therefore, pharmacological formulations encompassing GATA binding protein-6 activators may be used to treat metastatic cancers.

Undisclosed information: How GATA binding protein-6 decreases ICAT expression.
