Citation: Boominathan, L., Antimetastasis therapy: Tanshinone IIA, a chinese medicine, inhibits migration, invasion and metastasis via down regulation of phosphodiesterase 7A (PDE7A), 10/May/2015, 13.38, Genome-2-Bio-Medicine Discovery center (GBMD), http://genomediscovery.org
Significance:
This suggests that Tanshinone IIA, by increasing the expression of its target gene, it may suppress the expression of PDE7A. Thereby, it may inhibit metastatic progression of human tumors. Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “Tanshinone IIA or its analogues“ may be used to inhibit the progression of tumors.
