Citation: Boominathan, L., Anti-metastasis therapy: Tumor suppressor p53 homologue TAp63 inhibits migration, invasion and metastasis via down regulation of phosphodiesterase 7A (PDE7A), 9/May/2015, 19.54, Genome-2-Bio-Medicine Discovery center (GBMD), http://genomediscovery.org
Significance:
This suggests that TAp63, by increasing the expression of its target gene, it may suppress the expression of PDE7A. Thereby, it may inhibit metastatic progression of human tumors. Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “TAp63/PDE7A or small molecule compounds that activate both TAp63 and PDE7A“ may be used to inhibit the progression of tumors.
