Significance: The study presented here suggests that MiRNA-107, by decreasing the expression of its target genes, it may suppress the expression of actin-regulatory proteins FHOD1 and PPM1F. Thereby, it may inhibit migration and invasion of metastatic cancer cells. Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “MiRNA-107 activators” may be used to inhibit the progression of invasive tumors.
