Undisclosed information: A mechanistic insight into How p53 inhibits Hepatitis B Virus Transcription.

Significance: This study suggests, for the first time, that tumor suppressor p53, by increasing the expression of its target gene, it may inhibit Hepatitis B Virus Transcription.  Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “p53 activators” may be used to inhibit Hepatitis B Virus Transcription.
