A study from Department of Biotechnology and Biosciences, University of Milano-Bicocca, Milano, Italy has reported that “Hippocampal development and neural stem cell maintenance require Sox2-dependent regulation of Shh.”

This study was published in the 12 Oct 2009 Nat Neuroscience (IF: 15.251) by Prof. NicolisFavaro R and others from Department of Biotechnology and Biosciences, University of Milano-Bicocca, Milano, Italy

On the foundation of this interesting finding, Dr L Boominathan, Director-cum-chief Scientist of GBMD, reports here that: MiRNA-based therapy for Dentate gyrus hypoplasia: MiRNA-378 promotes hippocampal development and neural stem cell maintenance via up regulation of its target gene
