- A study from University of Nevada School of Medicine, Reno, NV, USA has reported that “Two miRNA clusters, miR-34b/c and miR-449, are essential for normal brain development, motile ciliogenesis…“
- This study was published in the 30 June 2014 Proc Natl Acad Sci U S A by Prof. Yan and Wu from the Dept of Physiology-Cell biology, Nevada School of Medicine, Reno, NV, USA
- On the foundation of this interesting finding, Dr L Boominathan, Director-cum-chief Scientist of GBMD, reports here that: E2F1 and p53 synergistically regulate brain development, motile ciliogenesis, and spermatogenesis via up regulation of their target genes. This study suggests that E2F1 and p53, by increasing the expression of their target genes, they could promote brain development, motile ciliogenesis and spermatogenesis.
