GBMD Chief-Scientist Dr Boominathan PhD provides molecular insight into pathogenic mechanisms of Non-Obstructive Azoospermia. In particular,  Dr Boominathan identifies the mechanism through which p53 regulates Spermatogenesis and Sertoli Cell Polarity via up regulation of its target gene. This study suggests that “p53 regulators” may finds its use in clinic treating stress-induced Azoospermia.  To the best of our knowledge, this is the first study that points out a role for the guardian of the genome p53 in stress-induced Azoospermia.
