Significance: This study suggests, for the first time, that HAUSP, by increasing the expression of its target gene Sirtuin-1, it may increase the lifespan of an individual. Thus, this study suggests, that pharmacological formulations encompassing “HAUSP activators” may function as longevity promoters.
