Undisclosed information: How Ars2 increases the expression of Sirtuin-1
Significance: This study suggests, for the first time, that Ars2, by increasing the expression of its target gene, it may increase the expression of longevity gene Sirtuin-1. Thereby, it may promote insulin sensitivity, decrease ageing and promote longevity. Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “Ars2 activators” may be used to increase the longevity of an individual.
