Significance: This study suggests, for the first time, that Signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 may extend the lifespan of an individual by suppressing adenylate cyclase 5.   Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “Signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 activators” may be used to extend the lifespan of individuals.
