Significance: This study suggests that miR-136, by suppressing its target gene, it may make non-dividing and mature neurons to divide. Furthermore, this study suggests that pharmacological formulations encompassing ” miR-136 or its activator” may be used in the treatment of a number of neurodegenerative diseases.
