Citation: Boominathan, Massage therapy for cancer patients: Massage attenuates inflammatory signalling-associated transformation and increases the expression of tumor suppressor BTG2 via down regulation of its target gene, 24/January/2015, 9.49 am, Genome-2-Bio-Medicine Discovery center (GBMD), http://genomediscovery.org
Significance: This study suggests, for the first time, that massage (moderate pressure–pressure receptor-mechanotransduction), by increasing the expression of its target gene, it may attenuate inflammatory signalling and increase the expression of tumor suppressor BTG2. Given the mechanistic basis, Physicians may consider recommending massage therapy to cancer patients.
