Citation: Boominathan, Massage therapy for cancer patients: Massage attenuates inflammatory signalling-associated transformation and increases the expression of tumor suppressor KRIT1/CCM1 via down regulation of its target gene, 25/January/2015, 23.13, Genome-2-Bio-Medicine Discovery center (GBMD), http://genomediscovery.org
Significance: This study suggests, for the first time, that massage (moderate pressure–pressure receptor-mechanotransduction), by increasing the expression of its target gene, it may attenuate inflammatory signalling and increase the expression of tumor suppressor KRIT1/CCM1. Given this, physicians may consider encouraging their cancer patients to undergo massage therapy.
