Significance: LKB1 has been shown to function as a multi-tasking tumour suppressor. This study suggests that Cocaine, by suppressing the expression of its target gene, it may up regulate the expression of LKB1. Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “Cocaine or its non-addictive analogues” may be used to treat cancer.
