Significance: This study suggests that Argonaute-2 (Ago2), by decreasing the expression of its target gene, it may increase the expression of Notch1 and Notch2. Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing Argonaute-2 (Ago2)  inhibitor may be used to inhibit tumorigenesis and metastasis.
