Significance: This study suggests that C/EBPβ, by decreasing the expression of its target gene, it may increase the expression of Notch1 and Notch2. Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing C/EBPβ  inhibitor may be used to inhibit tumorigenesis and metastasis.
