Idea Proposed/Formulated by: Dr L Boominathan Ph.D.
Citation: Boominathan, Mechanism of tumorigenesis: Stem cell protein Oct-4 increases the expression of Notch-1 and -2 via down regulation of its target gene, 24/October/2014, 06.06 am, Genome-2-Bio-Medicine Discovery center (GBMD), http://genomediscovery.org

Significance: This study suggests that Oct-4, by decreasing the expression of its target gene, it may increase the expression of Notch1 and Notch2. Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “Oct-4 inhibitor“ may be used to inhibit tumorigenesis and metastasis.
Amount: $300
Undisclosed information: A detailed mechanistic insight into how Oct-4 increases the expression of Notch-1 and Notch-2.
