Significance: This study suggests that IL-17, by decreasing the expression of its target gene, it may increase the expression of VEGFα.  Thereby, it may promote epithelial to mesenchymal transition (EMT) and metastasis. Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “IL-17 inhibitors  may be used to inhibit the progression of tumors.
