Significance: This study suggests, for the first time, that tumor suppressor NR2F2, by increasing the expression of  its target gene, it may decrease the expression of RNA polymerase I. Thereby, it may inhibit the proliferation of cancer cells. Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “NR2F2 activators”  can be used to inhibit the progression of human cancers.
