Citation: Boominathan, L., Mechanistic insight into tumor suppression: Demethylase JMJD3 suppresses the expression of actin-regulatory proteins FHOD1 and PPM1F and inhibits migration and invasion of metastatic cancer cells via up regulation of its target gene, 19/March/2015, 22.11, Genome-2-Bio-Medicine Discovery center (GBMD), http://genomediscovery.org
Significance: The study presented here suggests that JMJD3, by increasing the expression of its target gene, it may suppress the expression of actin-regulatory proteins FHOD1 and PPM1F. Thereby, it may inhibit migration and invasion of metastatic cancer cells. Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “JMJD3 activators” may be used to inhibit the progression of invasive tumors.
