Citation: Boominathan, Mechanistic insight into tumorigenesis: MiRNA-1271 suppresses the expression of tumor suppressor p53 via down regulation of its target gene, 18/February/2015, 22.43, Genome-2-Bio-Medicine Discovery center (GBMD), http://genomediscovery.org
Significance: This study suggests, for the first time, that MiRNA-1271, by decreasing the expression of its target gene, it may decrease the expression of p53. Thereby, it may inhibit the progression of breast cancer. Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “MiRNA-1271 inhibitors” can be used to treat breast cancers.
