Significance: This study suggests, for the first time, that NUR77, by increasing the expression of its target gene, it may increase the expression of E3 ubiquitin ligase MDAM2. Thereby, it may decrease (1) the expression of tumor suppressor p53; and (2) promote tumorigensis.  Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “NUR77 inhibitors”  can be used to inhibit tumor progresssion.
