Citation: Boominathan, Mechanistic insight into tumorigenesis: Tudor Staphylococcal Nuclease protein suppresses the expression of tumor suppressor TPM1 via down regulation of its target gene, 4/February/2015, 23.00, Genome-2-Bio-Medicine Discovery center (GBMD), http://genomediscovery.org
Significance: This study suggests, for the first time, that Tudor Staphylococcal Nuclease, by decreasing the expression of its target gene, it may inhibit the expression of TPM1. Thereby, it may inhibit the migration and invasion of cancer cells. Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “Tudor Staphylococcal Nuclease inhibitors” can be used to inhibit the progression of metastatic human tumors.
