Citation: Boominathan, Mechanistic insight into tumorsuppression: BMP-6 increases the expression of tumor suppressor BTG2 via down regulation of its target gene, 09/February/2015, 21.48, Genome-2-Bio-Medicine Discovery center (GBMD), http://genomediscovery.org
Significance: This study suggests, for the first time, that BMP-6, by decreasing the expression of its target gene, it may increase the expression of BTG2. Thereby, it may inhibit cancer progression. Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “BMP-6 or its activators” can be used to inhibit the progression of human tumors.
