Significance: This study suggests, for the first time, that miR-92 inhibits the expression of tumor suppressor p53. It has earlier been shown that miR-92 suppresses the expression of p53 homologue p63. Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “antagomiR-92” may be used to inhibit cancer progression.
