Significance: This study suggests, for the first time, that P-ΔNp63α, by increasing the expression of its target gene, it may decrease the expression of tumor suppressor p53. Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “P-ΔNp63α inhibitors” may be used to inhibit cancer development.
