Significance: This study suggests that EMT protein SNAI2, by decreasing the expression of its target gene, it may increase the expression of tumor suppressor INK4a. Thereby, it may inhibit cancer cell proliferation. Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “SNAI2 inhibitors“ may be used to stall the progression of Cancer.
