Citation: Boominathan, MiRNA-based antimetastatic therapy: MiRNA-141 suppresses the expression L1CAM via down regulation of its target gene, 8/February/20145, 22.14, Genome-2-Bio-Medicine Discovery center (GBMD), http://genomediscovery.org
Significance: This study suggests, for the first time, that MiRNA-141, by decreasing the expression of its target gene, it may inhibit the expression of L1CAM. Thereby, it may inhibit the migration and invasion of prostate cancer cells. Thus, pharmacological formulations encompassing “MiRNA-141 or its activators” can be used to inhibit the progression of metastatic human tumors.
